Well, lessee (refers to Personal Firearms Record provided courtesy ATF):
Winchester model 1906 pump .22- was my dad's
Marlin model 60 .22 semiauto- was my bro's
S&W model 60LS .38, stainless (who cares if it says Ladysmith on it- same as the Chief's Special)
Colt Detective Special .38, nickel plated 2nd series
Smith & Wesson Military & Police .38 (pre-Model 10)
Smith &Wesson model 60 .38, stainless
Oh yeah, I should amention that all my revolvders are snubbies.
FN model 1910 7.65mm- war souvenir- holster has Jap markings; uncle was a Navy flier in the Big One; probably
bought it from a Marine who got it the hard way; given to my grandfather, then my dad, now me
so gthen I decided to see whether semiautos were reliable and jam free these days and started with a
Browning Hi-Power Practical 9mm- no, IT DOESN"T JAM AT ALL; great gun!
FN model 1922 .380- former Dutch Army gun; bought for historical interest
Browning BDM 9mm- light, thin gun and interesting design; 15 round mags that also fit FN HP-DA
FN HP-DA 9mm- so neat I bought a second one; FN's last all steel pistol except Hi-Power but no longer made
FN HP-DA Compact 9mm- good carry gun if a little heavy; barrel is 3 7/8" so avoids lack of velocityof a snubby
FN HP-DAO Compact- very rare model without decocker
FN Hi-Power, made in 1950s with internal extractor, ring hammer and thumbprint on slide; the classic FN-35
Okay, I have enough now- but I would really like to get a FN HP-DAO in the full size service model.
You could say I'm sold on semiautos now and particularly FN/Browning. But no plastic guns please!
