I shoot better with the Ruger, but the Kahr weighs less.

A stock 10/22 that I bought new along about 1979.

A few other odds and ends.

I don't carry. Guns too many to list individually.

Shotguns, single shots, doubles, pumps and one auto. 12, 16, 20 and .410

rifles, a bunch of .22s, singles, levers and 10/22 a Marlin 3030 lever, an old 30-06

handguns, Sigs and Smiths in .45 and 9mm para.

current love affair is my S and W 1911

Most of my guns are guns passed down to me. All the shotguns are old as are all the rifles save the 10/22 which I bought. I inherited my revolvers, bought my Sigs and the 1911.

I have a bunch of guns--- maybe 20 or more, if you count the swap-barrels. Funny, I didn't actually purchase more than half of them. That happens a lot in Tennessee, where I grew up. If I wanted something to carry, it would be my trusty old GP100 (4" barrel). I'm 6'2", and right around 200 lbs, so it would not be that hard to conceal if I had to, I guess. Hell, with a leather or Kakadu duster I could conceal the SKS, if I wanted to! I have a H&R Handi with 20 ga and .30-30 barrels. I have a T/C Contender with match barrels in .22, .357, .30-30, and a .22 WMR. I have a half dozen cap 'n' ball guns, both long and short. I have a Savage 110 in .30-06, a Norinco JW 15 .22 bolt action, and a Ruger MKII with a bull barrel. And an S&W 422 that shines for accuracy. I've even got a couple of airguns, a crossbow, a recurve bow and a slingshot, just in case! All I can say is ALL of mine are dead-on accurate, except the SKS, which is only passable. I got no use for a gun that ain't accurate. Everything else is hair-on-a-gnat's-ass category. I tend to not go anywhere where I need to carry a gun. Like I said, if I had to I'd carry the GP100.

Here is my collection of primarily military surplus shooters. I try to get each one out to the range with me a few times a year. The scopes are mounted using clamp on mounts (no drill and tap) so that the rifles are preserved. None of the wood has been sanded or refinished. Slings and holsters are both original and reproduction. Bayonets and scabbards are original.

OK, since this thread has been resurrected, I looked over my list from October 2011 and realized I have added three items since then:

4. Deer rifle, if I ever decide to take up hunting: Weatherby Vanguard Sporter in .30-06 with a nice scope

5. Historical military battle rifle for the range: Springfield Armory M1 Garand, c. 1955, from CMP.

6. General-pupose handgun (except for concealed carry, which I currently don't feel the need for): Springfield Armory Loaded 1911 in .45 ACP.

7. Plinker and lower cost range handgun: Ruger Mark III 22/45 .22lr with 5" barrel.

8. Couple of Crosman air pistols for shooting rats in my garage, etc.

Out of that list, it HAS to be the Yugo Mauser.

Good guess but it was a handgun, if my memory serves me. Of course, this could have all just been a dream. :)
