A serious threat to Obama, or the Teabagger flavor-of-the-month?
Re: The Herminator
2If Cain was pro-choice, Obama would be done.
In a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich the chicken and cow are involved while the pig is committed.
Re: The Herminator
4I think he's the one to watch on the repub side.
But he's full of that typical magical republican thinking, believes that it's okay not to have a plan to get from A to D because points B and C will take care of themselves.

Re: The Herminator
5Definitely "Tea Bagger Nut of the Month", he has limited traction. The only Republican I'd worry about is Jon Huntsman, but at this time he's too moderate to appeal to the freaks who dominate the publicans. If Huntsman was a Demo he'd be a viable Western Demo candidate, maybe in 2016.

6Cain won't get very far because the core tea baggers are racists.
"Shaka, when the walls fell. Timba, his eyes wide open. Darmok and Jilad at Tenagra."
Re: The Herminator
7Plus there's a lot of dirt on him as CEO of Godfather's Pizza--layoffs, golden parachutes, etc..SamuraiCowboy wrote:Cain won't get very far because the core tea baggers are racists.
The Detroit Red Wings. It's not just a game; it's a religion!
Re: The Herminator
8If we play pretend that he could win the GOP nomination, eventually he gets to a general election where his "Obama couldn't even run a pizza joint" spiel turns into "Herman Cain hasn't really done squat except run a pizza joint". There are a lot of things that just don't come up in running a pizza parlor, like making the call to invade Pakistan and shoot bin Laden in the face and dump his body into the sea while smiling and joking with your domestic political opponents.
Cain: Godfather's Pizza
Obama: Actually the Godfather.
Cain: Godfather's Pizza
Obama: Actually the Godfather.
I admit I'm bass ackwards:I love Belgian guns and American beer.

9This reminds me of that moment in West Wing where bartlett called his re-election opponent "A 22 caliber mind in a 357 magnum world" on camera.FriqueNationale wrote: Cain: Godfather's Pizza
Obama: Actually the Godfather.
But that whole "successful businessman" shtick is going to work for at least some time, out in republican-land.
