I's been trollin teh yuutubs today. Here's some of the dialogue I was engaged in.
I'm in Green. My esteemed opponents are in other colors.
That gavel came down on Medicare when Obamacare was passed. Over $500 Billion cut from Medicare, a program that is already Trillions in debt . Who the freak do you think your kidding buddy? It's not rocket science, if it's so great go ahead & tell the Seniors the results from this panel that is suppose to decide what is allowed to be covered because otherwise you don't have a leg to stand on.
Democrats have failed to pass a budget, it's going on 800 days, get to WORK!
CentrlFlagrl
@CentrlFlagrl YOU REALLY Believe the stuff Fox and friends said?
Totallydistortedfilm
In other words: Democrats are good, and those Republicans are evil. What a childish analysis.
These Democrats want to keep the spending going until everyone goes bankrupt.
Ron Paul & the Tea party are the only hope for you yanks.
LibertyDownUnder
@LibertyDownUnder Who spent more, Bush or the Democrats?
Totallydistortedfilm
@Totallydistortedfilm, the democrats - why?
LibertyDownUnder
@LibertyDownUnder That is factually incorrect.
Totallydistortedfilm
@Totallydistortedfilm, if you total 8 years of Bush spending VS 2 years of Obama - yes, Bush spent more.
Is that your point?
LibertyDownUnder
@LibertyDownUnder Three years. All these problems with the budget ARE BECAUSE of Bush era policies, not medicare, social security, PBS, public education, the EPA, financial regulation or planned parenthood. Why we have no money is because the money we had was spent on two wars and bank bailouts. We could have recovered some of that money wasted but instead Republicans thought it was more important that the immensely rich and their businesses shouldn't pay taxes like other US citizens.
Totallydistortedfilm
@Totallydistortedfilm, I agree that the bailout were wrong, but both sides supported those.
Anyone who suggests that Obama's spending is ALL Bush's fault is ignoring a lot data.
Still, this has got nothing to do with my original point.
@LibertyDownUnder I'm saying your point has nothing to support it. Obama has proven himself to be a pre-08 republican with his 3 years in office. If he ran today, not as an incumbent, I would not vote for him.
I'm sorry you got your facts from Ailes, Beck and Rove. I'm just glad that you being in another country can't vote to change ours.
@Totallydistortedfilm, I got no idea what you're talking about, kid.
You can have the last word here.
But tax cuts would make a business competitive against other oil companies abroad, such as bp,
HardCoreProgrammer1
@HardCoreProgrammer1 They already pay nothing, what should we do, have the government GIVE them money? Tax cuts never made any billion dollar company more competitive, just richer.
@Totallydistortedfilm
Well, the idea of a subsidy is to make a company more competitive or in some cases hire more workers
@HardCoreProgrammer1 Thats the 'idea' of subsidies but DOES this make them hire more workers? In the decades those subsidies, tax exemptions and loop holes have been around, no oil company has made new jobs available. Making jobs after you sack your old labor force doesn't count as increasing employment opportunities. The nature of a for-profit corporation is to PROFIT. When they're given free money they have no mandate that tells them to employ people, just increase profit for the year.
@Totallydistortedfilm
Yeah, i know what you mean, they would rather increase profit to show and cause the price of their shares to up, which will attract more investment and provide them with higher external sources of finance
@HardCoreProgrammer1 And did that action create a single job?
*Ayn Rand fan boy goes on about how Paul Ryan's play is great and how we need to have less taxes on energy companies. I can't find the original post.*
You're obviously not filthy rich, so why do you believe in the stuff that the rich people say to make up for their lack of empathy? On another note, Have you ever watched Napoleon Dynamite? It would be like looking into a mirror for you.
noone hates capitalism more capitalists. The rich love government and regulation. How do you not know this already?
You're someone who likes political scientists and writers, ever heard of John Locke?
Oh yes, I can see why they would love all that regulation that keeps them from destroying the country, civilization and or planet from ruin. All those government programs that give free education and medical care for the old, I can see why rich people love those things that they have to fund with the tiny amount of their money they would have to relinquish to make life better for the country as a whole.
You're not helping your argument by going to a state run school.
In the immortal words of Francis "I hate Ayn Rand."
I would suggest shaving, too. You might benefit from it.
*the guy had a beard and mustache that was the kind you find on middle schoolers, REALLY grody looking*
Re: My participation in the infernal debate of Youtube.
2Why even bother...it's youtube...hell, replace youtube with "internet"

Re: My participation in the infernal debate of Youtube.
3I've actually found most of the popular-internet to very liberal. 4Chan's bigots and nazis usually get shut up once a thread gets more than four posts. Steam and PC based game networks are very liberal under the surface.
I mainly want to get some fact checking. I know the only way to rebut most of these people is to put them into reality but even then I can have slip ups in my fact vocabulary.

Re: My participation in the infernal debate of Youtube.
4FYI: The 500 billion that "Obama wants to cut out of Medicare" is from the money that the government gives to private insurers in the form of that debacle George Bush unleashed called Medicare Part D. Obama wants to take the money from the private insurers and reinvest it to fill in the gaps in coverage called the "donut hole".Greg A-M wrote:I've actually found most of the popular-internet to very liberal. 4Chan's bigots and nazis usually get shut up once a thread gets more than four posts.
