I'm pretty far north of Joplin. About 4 hours to the other end of the state.petrol wrote:hope you an your family are safe. I could barely believe what I was seeing on the news last night.MetalSlugIV wrote:Welcome from Misery (aka Missouri).

'the friendliest gun forum on the internet' is where i heard about this one. (it was in the humour section, because only god fearing harcore conservatives like guns and the idea of anyone else enjoying shooting or wanting to defend thier family etc is beyond comprehension.)
so, again thank you for the welcome, and I'm looking forward to learning more.
a little about me I guess, I relly like my 1911 comander, and my Sig P220 combat. I don't like my XD45 much. I have a great time with my marlin camp .45 but havent got too comfortble with my SKS or AK. next on my list is a good Mosin Nagant rifle.
My blood pressure is much better now, now that I don't read shit like that every day. But I'd still like to tie one of those fuckers to my front porch just to kick the shit out of him when I come home every day. Ok, maybe I still have anger issues.Ultravox wrote:Hmm. Funny reading.
None of those firearms are illegal in California. All the handguns are or were on the approved list. There isn't really a ban on rifles other than the ones listed as assault weapons. Not all AK's are on the list. I have a Saiga and could even put a pistol grip on it as long as I put a device to make the magazine "fixed" which means that I need to use a tool to remove it. SKS can be owned but cannot be modified from its original condition or it becomes illegal. We cannot have the grenade launcher either. They sell SKS' with modified California approved muzzle devices at Big 5.Paladin wrote:You have what i thought was an illegal California collection.
There is no dedicated forum, but the conversation comes up every once in a while. Usually in the General Discussion section.petrol wrote:...Is there a survival/ prep section on this forum anywhere? Or even off grid living?

I doubt it. This poster seems to have a very different writing style. Ol' Sammy tended to be fairly disjointed.rolandson wrote:did I miss this again? are sam and/or project back? is it carolina in drag this time?? fox-whaterver, is that you?AdAstra wrote:I'm going to go all out on this one and say, hello again samspade/project.
