Anyone have experience with this stuff? Sounds like it could be dangerous in the wrong hands..

"A Minnesota man was fined $2,583 and sentenced to three years' probation on charges of detonating an explosive device and unlawful possession of components for explosives after he detonated 100 lb (45 kg) of Tannerite inside the bed of a dump truck by shooting it with a .50 caliber rifle from 300 yards (270 m) away on January 14, 2008 in Red Wing, Minnesota. The man was on probation when he mixed and shot the Tannerite and was not allowed to possess firearms or explosives. The blast could be felt at Prairie Island Nuclear Power Plant."
A guy in my class was telling me he uses it for feral hog hunting. He plants a big charge in the middle of a feeder, stations himself far away with a high powered rifle, then shoots the Tannerite to make a huge killing blast when a herd of wild pigs gathers to eat.

as to the OP. If the man has 100 lbs of tannerite and a .50bmg and a dump truck to waste.... a few thousand dollars is no punishment, it's a permit fee.
Seems a bit excessive for hog hunting too much overkill, might do well for pig hunting though as stated above.
Now if you want some fun. Get a big ol' ice block, mixe equal parts of Iron Oxide fine grain powder, and Aluminum fine powder, and a touch of magnesium powder light a magnesium strip on top of the pile and run like fuck.
If I hear "crony" capitalism one more time I'm going to be ill. Capitalism is capitalism, dog eats dog and one dog ends up on top, and he defends that place with all the power he's accumulated.

6Damn, I want some of these too.
