New Profile Option: Skype

Now in your profiles you will find the option to put in your skype user name.
If people want to contact you via Skype they can simply click on the button in your profile. The button will indicate whether you are available on Skype or not.
Note:
Yyou will need to ensure your Skype program privacy settings (Skype->Options->Privacy->Show Advanced Options->Allow my status to be shown on the web) are set to yes for the skype status icon to be shown correctly on the forum.

Another new feature: each newly signed up user will get a Welcome PM.
The PM says:

{USERNAME}!

YOu can use an RSS reader to view the site now.
I can now configure my reader (google reader) to aggregate this site with all the other news sites I frequent.
So one page can show the latest posts from this site, Gizmodo, lifehacker, Zero Hedge, Calculated Risk, etc ..

Also, any Linux users / Perl hackers out there can now use this script. I usually keep at least one terminal open on my desktop, and this little script will show the latest postings on the site for you without having to open a browser:

Now if I can just figure out how to make that damn little icon appear in the browser bar. It isn't liking what I am doing.
