It's Maher, but he makes some very good points. Funny too.

I am always amazed at how poorly informed Maher is when it comes to real life. Pretty typical I guess when it comes to rich liberals who live in high security condos and gated communities and only associate with people of their own "class". I have always felt that when the man is on his death bed he will request a priest to hear his last confession and issue the last rites, just in case. But I still watch his show, last nights wasn't very good.

I agree. He is hot and cold. Typically he makes good points about extremism but he then proceeds to be an extremist on some of his positions (not related to this video). Unfortunately he tends to come of as a liberal douchebag sometimes which basically undermines his argument. Plus, he has a real problem with women. It is kind of creepy sometimes.
That said, many many Christians have little understanding of their faith which is how many of the churches, including my Catholic church have wanted it. Blind followers instead of people questioning and pushing the leadership is their desire.

Religion isn't about faith. It's about control.

One thing I have noticed over the years is that he seems to have penis on his mind. I think it stems from the fact that he is abnormally short coupled with a giant oddly shaped head that he wants everybody to think that he has a big one. Almost every time someone talks about guns its huh you have a small penis, I go hunting Bill huh you have a small penis, I drive a pick up truck Bill, huh your compensating for a small penis. when he gives his monologues he comes across as somewhat insecure. But I still like his show.

There are many rewarding career options open to confident, well-adjusted people. Comedian isn't one of them.

I agree but the good ones come across as confident and well adjusted.

Nah the good ones are always marching to their own drummer. Steve Martin, Jonathon Winters, John Candy, Belushi, Ellen, Rosanne....

I don't think he was poorly informed here at all. He was pointing out clearly the hypocrisy of a huge amount of people who claim to be 'Christian', something the 'Christian' community stopped doing years ago. At some point the Christian community lost it's collective conscience. 'For almost 2000 years Christians have been lawyering the Bible' and 'it's in that book you hold up when you are scream at gay people' is funny and hit's the mark exactly.
