TX unlikely to approve guns on campus

Reps stuck the handgun bill on a education funding bill to help it through the process but Dems threw a flag by reminding Reps of the rules.

"Republicans have been more focused on giving students guns than on giving them a high quality, affordable education," said Villarreal. "All year they have distracted voters with solutions to non-existent problems while they ignore the real problem of funding education. Here's a novel idea. Let's give students financial aid instead of firearms."
