Paladin, I have a son who found it absolutely hilarious to slip his laptop under my bed, set to serenade his mother and I, with the cat like quality of that Rebecca somethings voice and her song about friday, for a 5AM wakeup...it was the only time I had thought about discharging my gun in the house. Only thing that stopped me was the realization that I would have to replace the laptop...

I figured it out! It isn't that the song is so fucking lame, or even that this poor girl's voice has the tone and timbre of a dying cat, it's that this girl's dying cat voice is so much like that nasal twang that Sarah Palin calls a voice...

After reading about this girl on wikipedia, I have discovered that she is only 13! and that her mother paid $4000 to have the single and an accompanying music video put out as a vanity release through the record label ARK Music Factory.
