21 years ago today, we lost Jim Henson: One of the main reasons I got involved in theater and why I still strive to make it work. Few designers are ever remembered in our society, only the actors. This man had the rare ability to do it all so well, but it was his art in design and materials crafting that pretty much shaped the world for those of us who grew up in the 70's and early 80's.

I still say that to this day, it is a perfect dream to operate and perhaps even learn to build one of his Muppets. Sadly, the heyday of the Creature Workshop has passed. I had brief moments of hope during the early 2k's during "Farscape", but it just wasn't the same.

And, in fitting tribute.

Sorry if it doesn't quite belong on here. He's just that big of an influence on me.

Every generation gets it's quota of geniuses.

If you want to know how I feel about him, look to the left of this line.

Hippy to the end, that one. Irreverent, iconoclast, satirist, loving, caring.

Family Guy had a line that since he died we just have wrong sounding Muppets.
