What with the movie? Think I might be on the wrong site. Need some answers. Like what reasons should I put on the form so I can get the carry permit. Might some professions hurt your chance to get a permit.

Welcome!

You can carry in MA, but it is not a 'shall issue' state. You need a permit & you need to have a valid reason & then you need to complete training classes & a bunch of paperwork. It is doable & some of our members have done it.

I'm sure one of them will be around to give you more specifics soon.

Welcome from the other side of the continent, nice to meet ya.

Don't personally know a thing about concealed weapons in Massachusetts but I believe there are many here who do.

Personal protection is the best reason. But you really need to start an introductory thread like on any other forum. Otherwise we'll assume you're a guy amusing himself.

You need to ask specific questions and give us information about your situation, including which state you are living in if you would like an answer.

You will need to forgive the skepticism of some of our members. As we grow we have become a more regular target of trolls and disruptive people who don't like liberals or don't believe we own firearms and like them. You need to let us know what you are looking for and that starts by giving some information about yourself and your issue.

They did say they are in Mass. Otherwise, agreed.

I don't know what you mean by "tell them what they want". The NRA is actually a very useful organization for information on gun laws. They do have a more rightward slant in their politics but that is mainly the NRA-ILA. Any board will shun you if you do not commit to giving some information as to why you are on the forum. Not being forthcoming with information is the best way to attract hostile attention.

OK, How do I? "But you really need to start an introductory thread like on any other forum". No I am not a guy, no more info about me, I am a young girl, old enough to carry, situation is none of ur concern. R not many woman on this site that carry. So what is the fuss.

P.S. I just looked back and I did not see many people intro thm self's. So what is up!

P.S. S. Should I just change my name and say I'm a guy?

There are actually 2 instructors in the Boston area.

Your unrestricted permit success depends a great deal on the town you live in. Some towns give everyone unrestricted permits, most towns will issue a permit but often layer a restriction on it like "Target Shooting" and it s inconsistent. I have not heard of any towns denying entirely.

You need a safety class like the one we offer, then you need to apply with your town, give them 100 bucks and wait 60ish days.

There is also an interview with your local police chief.

For most of them, you have to go back years. This forum gets 100's of posts a day, so they get burried quick.

Here was mine:

Would they give 1 to a g who wks in a nightclub, if its just for getting to wk and back. Not for wk. Kind of to keep safe! Drunk male problems?

P.S. Porkroast Thanks, that sucks having to keep a gun at a range. Really sucks.

OK, I wk clubs in Mass, N.H. @ S. ME. Could not use gun at club while working. Could not hide it. At club all is safe. Big bouncers. Going home is where I had problem. Think I need more then just friken kickboxing. I am 25, have a degree, @ worked in FL clubs while in school. No jobs, money real good, so still at clubs. So think of me as some ugly guy person that needs help because I have questions. OK P.S. how should I dress when talking to the police chief.

welcome to the forum! As stated before, sorry for the skepticism, bor I'm guessing the "fox" in you name is leading some folks to presume it is a reference to fox news, thats all. We do get a lot of mostly guys who troll our site trying to convert us to become conservatives. Please forgive.

3 different states, 3 different permits. NH let's you get a permit with a MA license, but you still need to apply for a non-resident permit from the NH state police AFTER you get your MA permit. You are out of luck with Maine.

And when you take the safety class, they can give you tips on the interview.

The Trooper who stopped me in ME told me if I gave him my number he would get me a ME permit. He was fooling because when I went to give it he told me no. He also told me that if I get the NH permit that would be good in like 34ish states and Fl. He told me that my occupation might hurt in MA. He gave me a warning for doing 20 over and told me to drive safe.

AmirMortal If I don't get some sleep before work tonight, I wont look like a fox. Goodnight.
