So after I paid her first two months of rent and her cell phone bill for the majority of the year, my fiancee decides to break things off with me and never talk to me again because I didn't finish cleaning her stuff out of the apartment after helping her to do so in her absence.

Sorry to hear that. Just consider yourself lucky that you didn't marry her. Getting dumped is one thing. Getting divorced is a whole other world.

well she's also bi polar, so I wouldn't be at all surprised when and if she starts calling me again begging me to take her back. Not sure I will though.

It is so tough finding a good mate. Of course it's always filled with compromises, but those of us who have are damn lucky.

Bipolar chicks are nothing but trouble. They are fun when they are euphoric, but as soon as they switch into a depress-mode, gotta run from them.

I would go further than what mvelimir said, They can be fun in the initial stages of the manic phase but can quickly escalate to out of control, annoying, grandiose, dangerous people. Then the crash and the depression and not much you can do to help but be around. I have always found it more difficult to be around people with bi-polar disorder than people with any other psychiatric condition save personality disorders.

Anyway gendo, history notwithstanding, I think that you need to shore up your defenses here. If you have broken up with the woman more than once, then you really need to consider the relationship. You may not even be thinking about it but Marriage NEVER makes a relationship better. Great relationships often lead to marriage, but relationships that are in trouble, do not get better with a certificate and a ceremony.

That is my two cents. Be strong dude. If she wants you back after she can't pay her rent or move her stuff, just say no.

Personally, I would stay away from her, given such mood swings and unpredictable behavior. Somehow my boss was married to a girl with bipolar disorder, and the marriage lasted 27 years. However, it still ultimately ended in divorce.

It definitely makes routine some very odd stuff. When I was working mobile crisis, I never gave a second thought to riding up on a group of homeless guys and telling my client to get in the car so we could talk. I crawled up in bushes and went into some very bizarre situations. When I would tell family and friends about my day, they would just look at me like, "WTF!?!" I was just used to doing that kind of stuff like it was normal.

Don't beat yourself up too much. When you deal with people (bipolar or otherwise) you deal with contradictory feelings. We're funny animals that way.

I'm betting she left you cause you spend no time with her, answer every question with uhuh, haven't made eye contact with her since Mon Jan 31, 2011 10:17 pm and broke two of her nails when she tried to take away the mouse.
