I'd like to see how this will effect CCW. Anyone have better info on this?
He outlined three "sound and effective" steps to keep "those irresponsible, law-breaking few from getting their hands on a gun in the first place," including enforcing laws already on the books, rewarding states that provide the best data and therefore do the most to protect their citizens and making the system for background checks "faster and nimbler."

2Stupidest comments I have ever seen in a comment section. Apparently the undereducated read and interact on CNN on a regular basis?

Re: Obama Outlines Gun Reform
4You mean by ending corporate oppression and reducing the poverty rate so that people are less driven to either violent measures and gangs to earn a living wage, and to end the non sense of having pot illegal and alcohol legal?"However, I believe that if common sense prevails, we can get beyond wedge issues and stale political debates to find a sensible, intelligent way to make the United States of America a safer, stronger place,"
all satire aside, THIS is the kind of common sense gun laws I like. Enforcing the background checks and making them quicker and easier. we don't need new laws just to enforce the ones out there, and attack the real roots of the problem, rampant blackmarkets for certain plants and poverty.
If I hear "crony" capitalism one more time I'm going to be ill. Capitalism is capitalism, dog eats dog and one dog ends up on top, and he defends that place with all the power he's accumulated.
