Politicians bring their own for their swearing in ceremonies, but witnesses in court generally don't. Yup, neither side will admit that they were wrong. They'd rather act like they hold the moral high ground, which neither side does. People have had different opinions on social and cultural issues for eons and that will continue into the future. We all know that every Republican doesn't think the same way, many of them have rejected Trump. And Democrats don't all think the same way, though plenty of people think that they should. It's like when you keep trying to win an argument with someone else well after it is over, because you have some desperate need not only to be right, but for others to ACKNOWLEDGE that you are right, and that they were wrong, and to apologize for it. As if that would fix anything. I certainly recognize this kind of instinct in myself in other interactions with my fellow humans, so I am assuming that is what drives many to focus on these things.

Kinda, they do stick together and their message is to stop anything liberal. The Independents, the ones that cannot make up their minds if they are left or right are going to find out real soon.
