Why…why am I so turned on?

I’m currently without a long gun but want to change that. The one long gun that i really miss is my Colt 9mm AR. With me so far? Good….so the solution should be, just get a Colt 6951.

But then I see this:

For the love of Satan, why does the Klown want a Boba Fett gun? It looks ridiculous but also I think it looks awesome. Someone talk me into/out of love with this thing.

The Ruger PCC w M-LOK hanguards not fancy enough for your tastes? Add a 30-round Glock mag then for the average Stormtrooper.

If you're looking for a 9mm carbine, may I suggest the following:

Such purty wood… But why?
You know eventually you jus gonna sand it down and paint it purple and green. With black tentacles around the buttstock!

My two favorite colors!

Holy dogshit, there’s a company called Fightlite that makes an scr stock that’ll take any AR upper so long as you use the lower’s proprietary bolt carrier. Which kinda makes me sad because I don’t think it’ll work with direct blowback 9mm.

I think I might build THEE ugliest rifle EVER!

I don’t understand how silencers work for 5.56. The whole premise is to run sub-sonic rounds through a supressor to reduce concussive sound in enclosed spaces. Unless they really don’t care about the supersonic crack and just want to use suppressors as a glorified flash-hider of sorts?
I’ve heard of “operators” who like to shoot suppressed 300 blackout because they can run sub-sonic rounds through those set-ups.

I’m in no danger of ever getting a suppressor.

My current thinking is to build up an AR from the ground up. First stop is a 5.56 upper w a 22lr kit. Will add a 9mm upper and mag block later.

I really like the scr options but I think in the end that they are dead ends. But I’m fickle…may change my mind

I should qualify what I mean by Dead End….it doesn’t look like any of the scr options can use a .22lr adaptor. In my way of thinking this is the huge advantage to building a regular 5.56 AR first and then adding 9mm upper later on.

Also, I’m going with a fixed stock, which I think means a carbine buffer tube spacer when I eventually go 9mm

Dayam, FlyGuy! That looks amazing!
A neat modern reinterpretation of a historic 7.62x25 pistol carbine in 9mm! Super cool!

Flyguy, Bisbee....your input has pushed me over the edge. I think I am indeed pursuing a Ruger PCC. Not thrilled by having an angled magazine because aesthetics but there's plenty other room to move w traditional stocks, customization, etc.

At the end of the day I have zero need for 5.56.

Stay tuned, LGCers!
