They're trying to do an importation ban, from the looks of things. Immediately I thought of the Remington 870 and Mossberg 500/590 models, all of which have 7-round versions, but those are made in the USA.

Seems the BATFE thugs are just trying to get their last hack in at gun control before the change of administration. This is part of the problem of giving ATF the ability to make "rulings" on guns that have the force of law.

I'll stick with my Shockwave for home defense.
The Shockwave's capacity is 5+1 when loading 2 3/4" shells. Loading 3" shells drops the capacity to 4+1, while using 1 3/4 " long Aguila Ammunition Mini Shells increases the capacity to 8+

An import ban would require more effort. Beretta only has to swap to 5-round tubes for that model to be compliant. The tubes can be changed to 7-round stateside.
