This is Tennessee Brando focusing on Red Flag laws. The incoming president has said on many times that he would "take the guns first and do due process later." Brando brings the receipts, including a dialog between TOS and Bondi saying the exact same thing. He outlines the utter stupidity and hypocrisy of the group coming into power.

What we're in for is at least two years public mis and dis information. We will never know whether he's telling the truth or bullshitting. Here is what we're in for:
Mexico’s President Claudia Sheinbaum has appeared to contradict President-elect Donald Trump’s claim that the two have struck a deal to stop migration to the US border.

After a phone call on Wednesday, Trump posted online: “She has agreed to stop Migration through Mexico, and into the United States, effectively closing our Southern Border.”

Sheinbaum responded quickly that she had reiterated Mexico's position was not to close borders, but to address migration while respecting human rights.

On Monday, Trump alarmed US trading partners as he vowed upon taking office in January to slap

Donald Trump and his team are reportedly debating “how much” to invade Mexico once he takes office, a new report claims.

Trump and his transition team staff are discussing a “soft invasion” of the country, Rolling Stone reports. These conversations come after Trump promised to “wage war” on drug cartels in Mexico both during his first term and on the campaign trail.

“How much should we invade Mexico?” a senior Trump transition member told Rolling Stone. “That is the question.”

This “soft invasion” would involve American special forces assassinating cartel leaders in Mexico, another source close to the president-elect told Rolling Stone.

Trump got reelected in part to stop the illegal immigration at the southern and northern borders. If Mexico and Canada can't control their borders, then Trump will use tariffs on their products as penalties. We really don't know what Trump and Sheinbaum talked about, what got in the news is verbal muscle flexing, but I assume Trump told Sheinbaum to close Mexico's southern borders at Guatemala and Belize to stop the migrant caravans from South and Central America and control their ports and coasts. Don't know if Trump has talked to Trudeau, but the concern is the same since almost 200,000 illegal immigrants tried to cross the northern border this year.

My Opinion: If we didn't learn our lesson in "invading" Vietnam and Afghanistan, in invading Mexico (if that would even happen) we would certainly not prevail in Mexico. The Cartels have infiltrated and own and operate so much of Mexico's power infrastructure that we would be overwhelmed from the get go.

Mexico like many countries with organized crime and the cartels are organized crime, seem to be coexisting with them. The cartels aren't going to stop trying to make money over America's drug habit. Mexico and Canada have big financial incentives in stopping illegal immigration.
Through September [2024], the United States has imported $378.9 billion in goods from Mexico, $322.2 billion from China and $309.3 billion from Canada.

Invade Mexico to stop the cartels. We did that once in 1916-17 when Gen. Pershing invaded Mexico, called the Punitive Expedition. It never reached its goal of capturing Pancho Villa.

https://2001-2009.state.gov/r/pa/ho/time/wwi/108653.htm

We also used the same treatment in the 1920-30s with sending the US Marines into Central America and some Caribbean Islands to protect the American interest of Untied Fruit Company. Didn't work except the Marines left a great mark on the sports of some of the countries, baseball.

Doing the same today would lead to the same results. Suggested reading War Is A Racket by General Smedley D. Butler USMC, one of a very few people to receive two Medal of Honors.

Ottawa is promising to boost border security to appease Donald Trump in the wake of the incoming U.S. president’s threat to slap a 25-per-cent tariff on all Canadian goods and services. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau convened an emergency meeting with the premiers Wednesday to forge a battle plan after Trump’s trade broadside two days earlier. Trudeau told them that no one should assume the new president might change his mind or is bluffing, so his ultimatum must be taken seriously. Trump announced Monday he would unilaterally impose the 25-per-cent levies on all products from Canada and Mexico on Jan. 20 unless America’s northern and southern neighbours stem the tide of illegal immigrants and fentanyl.

Speaking to reporters after Wednesday’s first ministers’ meeting, Public Safety Minister Dominic LeBlanc said “we can make additional investments to reassure Canadians that all of the measures necessary are in place and will continue to be in place” at the border. That means more funding for the RCMP and the Canada Border Services Agency, though LeBlanc had no details on that. But he warned “we’ll continue to tighten the screws” to curb illegal border crossings between both countries. Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland appealed for a “strong, smart and united” front among the premiers.

He is pro profit that he can grift off of. He will spend tax payer dollars on war material to sell to others, and take a cut as he does so. He will leverage those sales to put more money in Jared's wealth fund. He wants to foment chaos that will distract everyone from grifting, that he will declare is an important part of his official duties.

And the foolish imposition of tariffs on Canada and Mexico just gives him the opportunity to lie about the agreements, as we have seen with Mexico, in such a way as we have no idea what is being discussed until after a deal is imposed. All's he has to do is to threaten about "how far we should invade Mexico" to intimidate them into agreeing to be a vassal of America.

What could go wrong?

China, Mexico and Canada are nation states, they are responsible for their own borders and internal law enforcement like drug laws. Illegal immigrants come into the US through Mexico and Canada, more so Mexico which also includes immigrants from China. Illegal drugs like fentanyl come from Mexican cartels, many get the basic chemicals from China. People in China send illegal drugs directly into the US through US mails. China knows chemical factories in their country are manufacturing chemicals to make illegal drugs, but it's jobs and their economy.

Instead of more talking country to country which hasn't achieved a lot, Trump is threatening to use sledge hammers that threaten those countries economies. No one is talking invasion, that would be as stupid as Napoleon's and Hitler's invasions of Russia. Politicians in democracies depend on strong economies to get reelected, sanctions would reduce the billions of dollars in trade every year that go to those three countries. China has farcical elections, but their economy is weaker than it's been and they fear instability.

I'm finding a bit of verbiage that claims Trump and Co. are discussing invasion of Mexico but so far most of it comes from a single source. So it's dubious but still......with this guy, who knows? The fact that it's even a rumor is deeply disturbing.

There have always been and will always be extremists who fan the flames of revolution, from the left and from the right. On November 5th some states legalized abortion and raised the minimum wage, while still voting for Trump. The left and the right have their agendas, it doesn't mean voters automatically buy into them. Americans vote for what they think is important to them and their families.

Well, this guy's big motivator is fear. If you keep the people afraid, they'll let you do what you want while doing what you want them to do. Mission accomplished. I think it will be short lived, as he says so much fake stuff. At a certain moment, I think they will see through it. Hopefully that happens before we discombobulate.

Americans will have another election in 2026 involving all US House seats, 1/3rd of the US Senate, plus state and local offices. Though Trump won't be on the ballot in 2026, his actions will be as will Democrats' actions. We'll find out if Trump learned anything from his first term in office and if Democrats learned anything from their loss in 2024.

I'm curious to see if Trump will stay with his claims of being an outsider elected to wreck the Status Quo and "drain the swamp". I seriously doubt that this is his intent or ever was but if he can break the back of Business as Usual, Owned and Operated political structure in Washington I'll have to give him some credit. Of all the things that America needs to right itself, getting out of the box we are in is the most important as nothing good is going to happen until we break up the stranglehold. Of all of the people I know who voted for Trump, the vastest majority of them admit the guy is a disaster *but* they voted for him to stop screwing around and doing "the same old thing" and expecting resolution or solutions.

The next two years are going to be fascinating - brutal, but fascinating.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau travelled to Palm Beach, Fla., to attend a dinner Friday night with U.S. president-elect Donald Trump. The visit comes amid Trump's threats to impose steep tariffs on Canadian products entering the United States. Trudeau's plane landed earlier in the evening at Palm Beach International Airport, which is used by Trump when he travels to his Mar-a-Lago estate. Trump has been meeting with his transition team there in recent weeks. Pennsylvania senator-elect Dave McCormick posted a photo to social media platform X late Friday showing Trudeau sitting beside Trump during dinner at the Florida estate. Those in the photo included McCormick, Howard Lutnick, Trump's nominee for U.S. commerce secretary; Gov. Doug Burgum of North Dakota, the pick for interior secretary; and national security adviser nominee Florida Rep. Mike Waltz.

Sources who spoke confidentially because they weren't authorized to speak publicly told CBC/Radio-Canada that members of the Canadian delegation present included Public Safety Minister Dominic LeBlanc and Trudeau adviser Katie Telford. Trump said Monday night on a Truth Social post he would impose a 25 per cent tax on all goods imported from Canada and Mexico unless both countries stop what he called an "invasion" of drugs, "in particular Fentanyl, and all Illegal Aliens" into the U.S. Trudeau told a news conference earlier on Friday that Trump's tariff threats should be taken seriously. "Donald Trump, when he makes statements like that, he plans on carrying them out. There's no question about that," he told reporters. "Our responsibility is to point out that in this way he would be actually not just harming Canadians who work so well with the United States. He'd actually be raising prices for American citizens as well, and hurting American industry and businesses." Trudeau spoke with Trump by phone on Monday evening after the president-elect made his tariff threat. The prime minister said Tuesday morning that the two had a "good call."
