Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton was not among 51 members of the National Association of Attorneys General who signed a letter on Monday calling for a peaceful transfer of power and condemning violent acts relating to the election results.
Paxton was one of only three state attorneys general who didn’t sign the letter, along with his counterparts in Indiana and Montana.
The letter states that “regardless of the outcome of Tuesday’s election,” they expect Americans to respect the peaceful transfer of power and called on citizens to vote and to respect the democratic process.

The San Antonio Current reported Monday that a letter sent by the Federal Election Commission to Cruz’s campaign on Sunday raised questions about nearly 200 contributions, some of which exceeded the cap by thousands of dollars. Cruz’s campaign must respond or return the money by Dec. 9 or face an audit or enforcement action.
Cruz’s campaign did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
In April, the campaign received a formal campaign finance complaint regarding money sent from a company that syndicates his podcast to a political action committee backing Cruz. The complaint alleged that Cruz’s campaign might have improperly directed radio distribution and marketing firm iHeartMedia to send more than $630,000 to the Truth and Courage PAC. That would exceed a $5,000 limit that an officeholder is permitted under federal regulations to solicit for a super PAC.

It is a very politically active area being one of the many places where the seed of the Civil Rights sprouted and grew. I have little doubt that the bomb threats merely made voters angry and more determined to vote when the polls reopened.
Fulton county is also where my ex-waifu became a US Citizen, in order to vote for our country’s first African-American President. Now we have another historic opportunity to move America forward: choose the first Woman of Color as leader of our country. GA will once again help lead the way.

It is a retrospective of the two candidates and how they came to this moment in US History to represent two distinct paths for our country. And really, if you look at this election from the long lense of history, you realize just how far America has come in our lifetime. That Kamala Harris, a daughter of the Civil Rights era, a political realist who always fought for the rights of racial minorities, women, and the under-privileged, has come to this world stage on her own merits, it really does show the trajectory of winning that justice has taken over a relatively short span of time. Whatever our fears are from a prone, dead horse, TOS really does represent our fear-based racist past. And far from seeing power in any a reactionary kick, Kamala Harris clearly represents the strength and tenacity of our future. She is the true winner and leader in my book. And based on her past, it is clear she will lead our country regardless of today’s election results —if only because people need someone like her to focus their trust and ambitions for justice and equality in government. And really, if a two-time loser like TOS can come back to wrestle for the presidency, someone as energetic and scrappy as Harris can easily represent the hopes of America in this new era of Post-Patriarchy and sit in the Oval Office IMHO

Pre-pandemic, I did a day of driving folks to the polls as organized by the local A Philip Randolph Institute chapter. I wasn't able to do so today, sadly. Here in "Lousyville" Kentucky, some of the polling places are church gyms and such. Folks aren't supposed to politic on the grounds, but they get away with sitting between the sidewalk and the street (road right-of-way, I guess) with their hateful signs encouraging folks to vote for this or that candidate (mostly fascist candidates) or for this or that Amendment (we have two potential Amendments on the ballot this year, both of them execrable). Just got back to my town and at the main intersection there is a group with a bunch of Trump flags, I didn't realize there were that many different designs. They were drawing a crowd.
I wish we were like foreign countries where there is no campaigning or talk of politics on election day. The parties have had over a year to campaign, give voters some peace on election day. The talking heads on radio and TV just regurgitate what's already been said a number of times.
