Per reports, it was a hit on one group by another, amongst bystanders.

Police identified the four people killed as Antria Holloman, 21, Tahj Booker, 27, Carlos McCain, 27, and Roderick Lynn Patterson Jr., 26.

Thus far, there have been no arrests in a case Police Chief Scott Thurmond has described as a “hit” on one of the four people killed in the shooting.

“We believe there was a hit, if you will, on that particular person, where someone was willing to pay money to have that person killed,’’ the chief said Sunday morning.

Mayor Randall Woodfin made use of the shooting to

call for banning "Glock switches," which are already banned,
call for some type of expansion of the ATF's ability to confiscate switches, and
whine about permitless carry.

I gather this will get more people on board with the campaign against Glock currently being waged by Chicago and Everytown.

The Mayor also, before knowing what firearms were involved, said these firearms shouldn't be on the streets. However, it was known it was a hit and he said nothing about assassins on the streets. Problem: unknown firearms. Assassins? Maybe not so much.

Another tragic shooting. Politicians don't pass up an opportunity to promote themselves even in the midst of a tragedy. Sounds like Everytown propaganda at work.
