I see no lies in this video.

I agree that there are people who have no business carrying/fondling/owning guns--domestic violence perpetrators is such a class, and I'd be perfectly happy if the oft-cited statistic of 40% of cops who have credibly been accused of DV can't be cops because they can't have a gun on their person ever again.

Once I gave it a moment's thought, I agreed wholeheartedly that any requirement to pay for training and/or licensure to have a firearm is racist, in that marginalized folks too-frequently don't have the disposable funds to do the training/license stuff.
Eventually I'll figure out this signature thing and decide what I want to put here.

Agree. Also mandated storage laws are unfair to those with the least means. Old white guys with a lifetime of good jobs and saving will not be infringed and that’s why I get pissed when they insist on infringements that hurt those that can least afford it. Root causes is the right answer, free training is an answer, and free education is an answer to reduce misuse and help ensure safe gun handling. Start early, older generation teaching the young and encourage activities like scouting where free training and education can be provided early.

Any of you guys remember when the NRA was just about sportsmanship and safety? When they had free seminars on safety? It’s been a while…

I am very pro 2A. Coming from the Bahamas, where guns are illegal (unless you’re gentry or friendly with the nobles and can justify a shotgun) there’s a absolutely a shitton of gun crime. You could “say” it was related to gangs or drugs, but it spills over. Even on the smaller islands - although not as much.

The problem is poverty and lack of opportunity, plain and simple. I’m no bleeding heart, but if you can’t find a job, and your or your baby is hungry and someone offers you a lot of money for illicit labor…. Just saying.

I don’t know what the solution is here, but I think that guy has some valid points.

Especially the hypocrisy and history of “gun control” legislation from the right.

Thanks for watching them and sharing your thoughts.

I have a house on Abaco, and most of the Bahamians I know, those who own a house, have at least a shotgun, maybe a rifle, and I've heard rumors about certain people owning illegal hand guns: "He sleeps with a .45 under his pillow" AFAIK, handguns are ONLY allowed for the police. Shotguns and rifles need to be registered every year according to Bahamian Law, for $150 and $300 annually, each. Yet even on Abaco we regularly get reports "A handgun was found at the scene"

You Abaconians are a different breed 😎
Oh, I don't know--I'm a 2nd home-owner on Abaco--I'm from New York (State) and live in New Jersey. I know many Abaconians with roots in Nassau, Spanish Wells, and other family islands. My point was that illegal guns show up regularly on our island too. Sadly, our local paper, "The Abaconian" shut down after Dorian.
