"Red Flag" law in MD being challenged in court due to apparent abuse of said law

The case is Willey v/ Brown, Webb, and Phillips, spearheaded by the Second Amendment Foundation.

Court docket:

The short version: it appears that Ms. Susan Webb, Director of Planning and Zoning for Dorchester County, MD, decided to file what looks like a frivolous "Extreme Risk Protective Order" (a.k.a. "Red Flag") against Mr. Donald Willey when she couldn't intimidate him with not just threats, but also lies/false accusations. The case is ongoing.

Has this case been mentioned here on the LGC forums before? I looked and couldn't find it, so my apologies if this is a dupe.

With all the red flag laws that exist, with all the complaints that have been filed, with all the weapons that have been removed, they found a frivolous case.

Pursuing this as a legal case is a necessity. Pointing to it as any kind of indicator is a fool's errand.

Willey should file a civil lawsuit against Webb for pain and suffering and her supervisors and officials in Dorchester County that allowed this bogus legal action. The county has liability insurance, so go after those deep pockets. Civil servants who abuse their authority should be held responsible and I was a civil servant.
