Back to one of my Sigs today.

Today I will carry my Sig P229 in a Mitch Rosen Sig P229 "Legion' holster. Now my P229 was born long before the first Sig Legion was marketed but it doesn't seem to mind being the poor cousin riding in its better's limousine. The magazine is a Mec-Gar 15 round so 15 + 1 total. The P229 is recently back from a weeks Spa Vacation in New Hampshire where it got all new springs, a complete physical and new night sights.

In addition to the Mec-Gar 15 round magazines there is also a couple period correct 13 round LE & Military restricted magazines.

Fortunately a 9mm barrel is a drop in swap in most of the classic Sigs. Right now 40 Sigs are being dumped all over the market and selling at half or less than the same gun in 9mm and a Sig 9mm barrel is generally less that $150.00.

SIG P229 ,a great pistol used in the past by a number of federal law enforcement agencies. A compact version of the P226 with a lighter frame, but the anodized aluminum frame is still heavy. Seems like most federal agencies now carry Glocks - 17, 19 and 26 in Gen5, the FBI has Gen M.
