Hadn't heard about them. Here's a picwooglin wrote: Wed Apr 10, 2024 6:45 am If one of the new S&W Ultimate Carry snubnosed revolvers in 32H&R mag were to show up in my lgs my credit card would probably buy it without even telling me. Any handled one yet? The sights look like a terrific upgrade.
Re: What's Your Next Purchase?
27Me too. I picked up the 9mm when it came on roster but haven't managed to shoot it yet. I'm considering the 380 conversion kit, but want to at least shoot the bugger first. It's very cute. Similar in size to the shield but somehow more svelt. Because such things matter?highdesert wrote: Wed Apr 10, 2024 8:49 am I don't need anymore guns, but if a SIG P365 in 380 happened to find it's way onto the Roster, I might consider it.
Re: What's Your Next Purchase?
28Hmmm...never thought of a 380 conversion kit. I liked the P365 when I fondled it, so that's an idea.featureless wrote: Wed Apr 10, 2024 11:28 amMe too. It's pricey though.

29It is pricey, but at least it comes pre milled for an optic and includes one measley magazine!
Re: What's Your Next Purchase?
30Have a Ruger LCR in 327, so for old man me it’s all about the sights. The rest of it is marketing.
Re: What's Your Next Purchase?
32I shoot H&R from the LCR. I like it. Ballistics are about the same as 38 Special. Gun is light, and 327 is a handful. Would also be a handful in a J frame, which is why the UC is in 32H&R rather than 327. I shoot H&R from my 4" SP 101, and also 327. I like 327 too. Ballistics are between 38 Special +p and 357, leaning towards the latter. Then there's the other 32s, which also work. Very versatile chambering.
Re: What's Your Next Purchase?
33I think the 32S&W Long and 7.65 may be my favorite revolver and pistol rounds. Similar penetration to 38Special and 9mm but far more manageable and allowing faster more accurate followup shots.

Re: What's Your Next Purchase?
36These last few posts had me looking at .32 variants in a snub-nose as a potential next caliber to consider. I watched the video from Chris Baker at Lucky Gunner, priced the ammo, and the pistols, and decided that, as good a platform as that seems on paper, I'm not ready to devote the shekels to it just yet, even though I see value in having a pocket (or sporran--I'm still looking for a good concealed carry option for when I want to wear a kilt) gun.
Eventually I'll figure out this signature thing and decide what I want to put here.

37Yeah. Definitely favors reloaders.BearPaws wrote: Fri Apr 12, 2024 1:18 am These last few posts had me looking at .32 variants in a snub-nose as a potential next caliber to consider. 38Also there are a herd of us who've been buying and shooting and accumulating 32S&W, 32S&W Long and 7.65 for way over a half century and have been through several feasts and famines so keep the granaries full.BearPaws wrote: Fri Apr 12, 2024 1:18 am These last few posts had me looking at .32 variants in a snub-nose as a potential next caliber to consider. 39And this is why I keep reminding folks to consider reloading their own and stocking up on components, for just such a situation as this.sig230 wrote: Fri Apr 12, 2024 8:51 amAlso there are a herd of us who've been buying and shooting and accumulating 32S&W, 32S&W Long and 7.65 for way over a half century and have been through several feasts and famines so keep the granaries full.BearPaws wrote: Fri Apr 12, 2024 1:18 am These last few posts had me looking at .32 variants in a snub-nose as a potential next caliber to consider.
