We need to talk more about guns on the board, so I'm starting this thread.
What are you getting next?
For me, it's a holster and mag holder for my Glock 17L and a shit ton of ammo.
Next pistol might be another glock, either a 26 or 19 or some crazy hybrid of the two. But only if I can trade for it.
I'm also eyeing a S&W 610 10mm with the 6.5" barrel, because steel needs to be rung and deathclaws to be killed.
Re: What's Your Next Purchase?
2Beretta Px4 Compact Inox - basically the midsized Storm pistol with a polymer frame and stainless Slide. i have a full size and a subcompact and have decided I need to have a compact 'because I love this platform so much.
It'll be devine having the whole family together.
Plus all the mags interchange so I get 20 round, 17, 15, and 13 round mags that will fit all the pistols. They are currently our of production but I have heard they will again be produced so I have to be patient and that's not something I'm good at.

Re: What's Your Next Purchase?
4Yeahhhh....that's a Beretta Pico .380 acp DAO. It's a cool design but surprisingly it's a teeny, tiny, little monster. The hammer is bobbed and the mag release is a pull down style. It does lock open when it empty but the recoil spring is very strong and the slide release is recessed to not catch on things. It kicks like mule/snaps really violently. But it's thin, light and small enough to carry in a back pocket when nothing else will do. Nice 3 dot sights. They were marketed to women as a deep concealment .380 but loading it and racking the slide requires way more hand strength than most people possess.
I hate it but it is an effective tool.

Re: What's Your Next Purchase?
5Depends. If a modern Walther in 380 comes onto the roster, I'll buy it. Otherwise, I'll probably pick up one of the 22 semiautos that are trickling on to the roster. And there a couple of new "slim" double stack types I've been casually eyeing to see if they make the roster. Honestly though, I don't need any more handguns. I really don't.
Re: What's Your Next Purchase?
7Some Mark IVs are now on there. Also a couple of Buckmarks, I think.

11lol - I just left a job at a law firm for nice public service gig.
Re: What's Your Next Purchase?
12I honestly don't know what I would want to buy next.
I don't have the disposable income to be a collector of cool old guns.
I have more pistols than I could shoot one a day for a week as it is, and I have pistols that are a real challenge for me to reload (I have big hands, so my P10S presents a real challenge for mag swaps, for example). My main reason for owning pistols is self-defense, and I am cognizant of the pitfalls of having too many different operating systems for that purpose. I'm partial to DA/SA pistols for EDC, and for some weird reason I'm partial to CZ pistols and less likely to even look at M&P or Glock or Taurus or...
If I had a lot of money to spend on a pistol, I might consider a Shadow 2 Compact, but only because I already have a PCR and my magazines would work in the Shadow 2.

Eventually I'll figure out this signature thing and decide what I want to put here.

13I agree, there hasn't been a lot of "Gun Stuff" related threads lately. My next purchase isn't a new purchase, just custom engraving and paint job. I will share pics when it comes back.

When you wrote, central vacuum, and blew up in your face, I thought you were referring to D.C. Then when you said that the mess was contained within, I knew it couldn't be that.

Re: What's Your Next Purchase?
15There isn't anything new or currently being made that really has caught my eye. There is a Sig P226 40 at my local range and even though it's a shorty forty if the price drops just a little I'd get interested. Throw the 40 barrel away and drop in a 9mm and it would be hard to resist.
To be vintage it must be older than me!

Re: What's Your Next Purchase?
16I’m waiting for my credit card bonus points to add up to a gun before making any choice. The last few I bought were snubnose revolvers both bought completely with bonus points. There’s nothing I absolutely need, a few guns that I still want, but they are kind of unicorns. So I’ll makeup my mind when the credits are built up.

Re: What's Your Next Purchase?
20I have been going buck wild the past two months. Started with a mint condition 1972 S&W M39, followed by a mint condition Uberti Deluxe 1873 rifle in .44-40, and then last week, two century old classics. A S&W Safety Hammerless and a Colt 1917 US marked revolver.

Re: What's Your Next Purchase?
21It is quite refreshing to actually see a post about firearms, here on a gun club forum.
I did all my purchasing over a decade ago. There is nothing really I would conceivably need or want at this point. So there is not much I can contribute to this thread, other than some of my abandoned ideas of what I was going to get next, back when I was still in the mood for it.
But in the spirit of encouraging firearm discussion, here's my input.
I used to think I wanted a Glock 23, with a 9mm drop-in barrel, to give me an intermediate option between a full sized Glock 22 and a Glock 26.
I have a 9mm drop-in barrel for the G 22 which works great, it just needs G-17 mags and it becomes a dual-caliber pistol. I did that back when ammo shortages were common, and sometimes you could find .40 but not 9mm.
I like the .40 round - lots of options there in loads, and at least for a while there, it was an inexpensive round due to the widespread adoption by law enforcement leading to it being manufactured in large quantities.
But I opted instead for a grip spacer to use Glock 19 mags in the 26, and that along with the standard factory 12-round and 10-round mags gives me a full range of capacity options for that gun. I shoot it well enough, and so don't really need the extra sight radius anyway.
Another one on my list at one time was a Kahr CM-9. I wanted something that would pocket carry, in 9mm. I had shot the larger CW-9 as a rental at a range, enough to know the handling and characteristics of the brand. To the point where I had already bought a holster for it. But I never followed through. Since then, lots of options for concealable 9mms have come out, so if I were still interested I might opt for something different.
So that's my answer to "what's next" if you had asked me 12 years ago.

Re: What's Your Next Purchase?
22At this point, I don't see anything more needed. Got my leverguns and wheelguns to match (easy to reload for), got my huntin' rifle, got my GI-spec 1911, and that's really all I want.
That said, we should, of course, always maintain the right to keep and bear whichever firearms we want that the police also can have.

Re: What's Your Next Purchase?
23I keep seeing used .40 Sig pistols selling for half of what a used 9mm version sells and for almost models all that's needed is just a barrel swap that would be less than $150.00 and it keeps getting harder and harder to "Just Say NO!"

Re: What's Your Next Purchase?
24If one of the new S&W Ultimate Carry snubnosed revolvers in 32H&R mag were to show up in my lgs my credit card would probably buy it without even telling me. Anybody handled one yet? The sights look like a terrific upgrade.

Re: What's Your Next Purchase?
25I don't need anymore guns, but if a SIG P365 in 380 happened to find it's way onto the Roster, I might consider it.
