^^ The greater ease of finding them could be because the Blackhawk has been around for longer. Again, CAS matches have made them popular as well. So, there's probably just more of 'em out there at present. Blackhawks are fine shooters, and I sure wouldn't turn up my nose at one. To do that would indeed be pretty stupid.

I can tell you that my SRH is likewise a laser beam if I do my part. That's true with either of my .45 Colt Magnum loads, especially, with 3" to 4" groups at 25 yards, using an isosceles, two-handed stance. Not too bad for an amateur shooter. One of those loads uses 2400, and the other uses that new Accurate 11FS powder. Both are stiff loads. The Redhawk is likewise a very good shooter, whether paired with my .44 Special +P load, or any .44 Magnum load that I've tried.

Just glad I got mine before the prices went up on 'em. I see what people mean now by that.

I have the Super Redhawk and the Redhawk Alaskan both in 44 mag and love them. The super Redhawk is really accurate and with a scope mounted on it super accurate at a good distance. The Alaskan makes a great carry when camping or just out hiking where you might run into big critters both four and two legged.
