Sauer SL5 3 Gun (aka Benelli M2)

1
A couple of weeks ago I was in my local Bi-Mart and found a Sauer SL5 on sale. $580.
The clerk said it had been there awhile but I don't remember seeing it.
Did some quick checking and found it is actually a Benelli M2 design and is manufactured by BREDA.

I have a BREDA manufactured Mannlicher-Shoenauer, so that didn't scare me off. It's really well made!

I've always wanted a HK/Benelli M2 or M3 so I think it's a score.
The kit included a cylinder choke (the hunting choke was mounted and made it look really weird), tools and a Picatinny rail that I took off for now.
Right away I ordered the GG&G 3 rd. mag extension, support and machined follower. The extension nut is really big so I had to spend a few minutes with the dreaded Dremel to clear some of the material from the inside of the forend, removing about 1mm of material to get the nut to clear.

Shotgun runs great! Went out last weekend and put a box of 3" turkey loads (as heavy as I every want/need to run) through it and another of Remington 'Gun Club' (really light).
Functioned perectly.

I called Blaser to get a new grip and they said they'd send me one out next week, N/C! :D

They have a decent shooting sports department. Guns, ammo, reloading supplies, safes...
They also have a large 'online-only' gun department. Some really nice stuff in there. If your store is out, you can check stock at any store.
Last time I needed powder, my store was out of stock, but I was able to drive over to Sisters to get what I needed.
I never had access to Bi-Mart in ID, but I'm a big fan now. I have a nephew who moved to OR recently and I told him he only needs Winco and Bi-Mart!

And Winco and Bi-Mart are both employee owned businesses. We have Winco in CA, but the closest one to me is about 75 miles away. Nice clean stores that are well stocked.

It comes in the box with the standard tube magazine with the hunting plug and choke already installed. It's exactly like the Turkey gun but without the camo plastic.
I installed the GG&G 3rd extension, but can remove it in just a few minutes.
What's the magazine capacity for 'Assault Weapon' in IL?

It's the pistol grip and possibly threaded barrel...
