New-to-me dryfire system.

1
I've been gifted a Strikeman dry-fire system.

I have a MantisX, and I've tried using it some, but in my current living situation, the sounds from my pistol attract attention from other folks in the house.

My wife and I live with her parents, because her parents are dealing with age-related memory challenges--he is retired career Air Force SP, and I'm sure he recognizes the sounds of a pistol being racked, AND I don't even want to discuss firearms with the old folks, so I feel like dry fire exercising at home is awkward at best.

Because the Strikeman system includes a laser emitter that goes in the chamber, it doesn't require racking the slide to reset the trigger (although the hammer on my PCR makes the sounds it makes...).

Anyone else have any experience with this system?
Eventually I'll figure out this signature thing and decide what I want to put here.

I've not used that system, but I am a big fan of dry fire. This one sounds like it puts a laser dot where you aim. That has merit. The very first live fire shot at the range should be perfect, but then we have to battle our own recoil avoidance. Let us know what happens.

I suspect so. The bit in the pistol is a mock round that apparently (I haven't gotten opportunity to play with it yet) turns the laser on for a moment when the hammer hits the pad ("primer" spot), and it doesn't seem to need to have the slide racked to reset the hammer/firing pin.

It's going to be a few days before I'll get to do much with it, what with all the family stuff I have happening (plus the holly-dazed feeling...).
