79Watch some of those "building in Alaska" shows. There are a lot of scenes where they're carrying a gun in case of bears. All I've seen are revolvers.

81Just got back from visiting some pro-2A friends. I brought some of my double-action wheelguns to play with at their local outdoor range. My wife and I enjoyed them. However, my friends are definitely in the semi-auto camp and just aren't interested in shooting wheelguns. They had a lot more interest in the 1911 that I had brought.
To help convince them that revolvers are also good stuff....
There was a bank of 6 of those "knock 'em over" steel targets, the ones about 6" (15cm or so) in diameter and 1/4 inch thick. They were positioned about 10 yards away from the firing line. Pull a lever and they get lifted back into position after shooting them. They were not doing so well in consistently hitting the targets (lots of misses!), but we all were having fun. Eventually I stepped up, first with the .357 Magnum (K-frame) revolver. Six shots, six hits. Then I reset the targets and repeated those results with both my 1911 and my buddy's Springfield Hellcat (9mm), both semi-autos. The message was that it doesn't matter what you're shooting. Rather, it matters that you practice shooting and know how to shoot.
The wife then stepped up. She wasn't feeling so good due to having caught a bug earlier on our trip. Even so...she picked up the revolver and knocked over four targets with six shots with .38 Special. That's my girl. :-) Again, it matters much more that you know how to shoot.
Unfortunately, they didn't seem to get the (verbally unspoken) message. I meet a lot of people like that. A few of them are even friends. As long as they're enjoying what they have, then I say, good on 'em. Just go practice.
And BTW...now I *REALLY* want one of those banks of metal targets! Them things are fun!
