XS Ghost Ring — stuck windage screw

1
I’ve got an XS Ghost Ring on my Rossi 92. One of the windage screws is stuck really bad and gun is now inoperable (accurately anyway).

Anyone have this trouble and know how to fix, or am I on my way to the gunsmith? I’ve tried PB Blaster and have worked on the screws as hard as I dare without messing up the screwdriver slot.

I’ve got the same on my Marlin 1894 and it works great.

I've broken more stuff than I can recall. The people who made it know more about it than everyone else.

Will do next time I get a chance.

I wrote to XS to see if they had any old inventory they could sell me as I figured it would be cheaper to swap out than pay a gunsmith to fix the threads (if that's even possible). They wrote back that they don't have any and confirmed that they used to make them but no longer do. However, it looks like they are planning to release these again. Snippet from email I received.
As for current models we only have the 94, 70, 71 and 86 listed as options but I do know that we are working on getting a set for the rossi r92 taken care of so there is a chance that once we have it ready there may be a chance we can have something for your 92 as it sits. Sadly I do not know a timeline on the release of that but I do know it is something we have been going to the range for some ballistic testing to iron this out before it is released for aftermarket sales.

It has just occurred to me to wonder about steel and aluminum being together. With an AR we use something like Aeroshell 33MS grease between the aluminum receiver and the steel barrel nut to keep them from fusing together. I first became aware of the issue with the old Cosworth Vega fiasco.

If you are not the original assembler, I suppose there's a danger of Loctite Red as well. Just spit balling at this point.
