Ruger 22lr day.

I was loading up some 44mag for my Rossi 92 yesterday afternoon. Mrs. Cooper says, "Hey, do you still have that 22 I shot a while ago?" I instantly packed up my reloading and we went outside for some 10/22 fun. She's awesome with the 10/22. When she was done with that, she said, "Do you still have that little one too?" Ran to gun safe and got out the Ruger Mark IV 22/45 (5" barrel). She did great with that one too. Then said we should do this more often. She's not really into guns and seems to tolerate them because she sees how relaxing I find it to tinker a little and shoot a little. So that was a pretty great day. She said, "Hey Cooper, don't you want to shoot?" No. Not today, this is so much more fun.

I like to watch too…
"It is better to be violent, if there is violence in our hearts, than to put on the cloak of non-violence to cover impotence. There is hope for a violent man to become non-violent. There is no such hope for the impotent." -Gandhi

About a week ago my 13 y/o daughter surprised me by saying she wanted to go duck hunting with me. Out of the blue. No previous interest in firearms at all.

I said let’s start with some firearms safety and trap shooting. Work our way up to dove season and see how it goes. I’m up in northern mi for the week on various family properties, and I have the 20 ga and the trap machine so we’ll see how it goes. I’m excited because my 18 y/o son is my normal shooting/ hunting buddy, but he’s headed off to college across the country.

Lucky guy to have land where you can shoot. When I win the lottery..I'm gonna buy some land and build an outdoor range..

Yes. I'm very fortunate. I am very grateful to have this. We are very rural and this is one of the perks.
