“From a Second Amendment point of view I agree that people’s right to carry should not be infringed,” said David Rankin. As a certified instructor, Rankin has taught concealed weapons permit classes in Anderson for 2,500 people in the past 10 years.

“But having taught the class so long, I’ve seen that people really do need instruction both in the laws and in handgun safety before they can be carrying out in public. There really are two sides to this.”
