Yes, she lives here in Tucson and is MacArthur Fellow. I may have to buy her book.
as Carlson hints at in Chapter 4 and fully recognizes in the book’s concluding paragraph: “those Americans who straddle political worlds may be the best, and last, hope for reinvigorating democratic culture in the United States and forging the democracy we deserve” (p. 181). Why? Because those who straddle different worlds, like liberal gun owners, may be better able to “embrace rather than eschew” the conflict that is central to democracy
Yes well, the Trumper radicalized right is not in any mood to sing kumbaya and hold hands with liberals. The hateful and caustic vitriol coming out of most repug politicians propagandize liberals as Leninists and baby killers will keep both sides at odds for ever.

There is this newer gun store near me and the guy started selling out of his home who moved up to a small retail space. Its called James 410, out of King James with verse "10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up." Uh huh, right.
If you were on this guys email list when he was selling out of his home you would receive all kinds of Maga crap anti-liberal shit. Now there is nothing of the kind in his retail space. Perhaps he realized he needs independents and liberals to buy guns from him to keep his space running and make a profit.
I've used him twice for receiving guns just because of connivence and his fee is 25 bucks. But I have yet to buy a gun from his because I know what the MF'r thinks of liberals.
They did receive my AR-lower with our clubs logo on it so I know they know I'm a liberal with guns. They look at me weird. My picture is prolly on the wall in the back. LOL

All I can say is stay calm and stock pile more arms and munitions.

Carlson did a TED Talk on "Beyond Partisanship".

Have a gun store in town, it's the last one. Had a chat one day with the owner and politics never came up in the conversation, it was just guns and concealed carry. Hickok45 and others realize that politics is divisive, gun ownership should be inclusive.
