"Texas man killed girlfriend after she traveled to Colorado for an abortion."

A man fatally shot his girlfriend in Dallas this week after learning that she had gone out of state to undergo an abortion procedure, authorities said. Harold Thompson, 22, allegedly shot and killed 26-year-old Gabriella Gonzalez in a parking lot Wednesday after he learned that she had traveled to Colorado to have an abortion and returned the previous day, according to an arrest warrant affidavit obtained by CBS News. Nearly all abortions are banned in Texas. Thompson was believed to be the father, the affidavit read, and "did not want" the victim "to get an abortion."

The shooting was captured on surveillance video and it showed the suspect first putting Gonzalez in a choke hold, shooting her once in the head and then firing several more shots after she fell to the ground, police said in the affidavit. Gonzalez died at the scene. Gonzalez's sister also told officers that she happened to be passing by and saw the couple together in the parking lot just prior to the shooting, and then heard the gunfire, "looked back and saw her sister on the ground," the affidavit states.

Thompson was later arrested on murder charges.

Yeah, I made that up but given recent events it's not too far from the pardon he's considering for another murderer.
YT you’re not to far off base with that post . Abbott will probably have people on the Christian Right Wing anti abortionist demanding a pardon.

A search of Thompson’s criminal history shows prior charges of domestic assault, which resulted in a warrant being issued for his arrest prior to the shooting. Gonzalez' mother said that report was officially filed in March by her family but they never heard back from Dallas Police after multiple attempts.

“I looked at her beaten, he no longer let her talk to anyone, he took everything from her,” Gonzalez’ mother told NBC 5 in Spanish. “He took his phone, he managed everything for her. She was scared." Court records report Thompson had also abused Gonzalez while she was pregnant. According to the arrest report, Gonzalez had just returned this week from a trip to Colorado to get an abortion. Police say Thompson was believed to be the father of the child.

“He was so angry that she wanted to get away from him,” Rubio said. “She would always tell me that she wanted to leave, but that she couldn’t.“ A bond has not yet been set for Thompson. It's unknown if he has an attorney. Gonzalez leaves three young children behind.

Absolutely prime meat for Abbott the shithead. I see another ill begotten pardon on the Texas horizon.
