I didn't even know they existed, that's a terrible loss. That's a remote area of northern Idaho, close to the Montana and BC borders. Wonder how long it took fire vehicles to arrive. About 200 miles southwest at Lewiston, ID on the Washington border is CCI.

I've heard of Veral Smith and LBT. Richard Lee mentions them in his book, Modern Reloading. He says that Veral's moulds are good stuff.

If Mr. Smith has built seven houses throughout his 81 years and built various tools throughout his life, then that means he's got plenty of ingenuity. I'm pretty sure they'll find another source of income. All the best to them recovering from this, of course. It is a loss for the reloading and especially casting community.

Fortunately, we do have Lee Precision, several of whose moulds were inspired by Veral's. We also have Miha Prevec's MP-Molds, for those who like casting hollowpoints. Both companies likewise produce good stuff.
