Yup, The carbide die set was in that package on top of the Lee press. The book has like 8 pages of info just for 45 long colt, couple ruger & TC, I don't know what TC is.

I was just on Midway ordering those Missori bullets cus their website kept jacking me around on my payment and they have CCI large pistol primers! yippie!
I hit those primers on midway myself (thanks!) … $132 shipped but still saves big time over factory ammo. I always just buy what is available. I just shift fire on what I’m reloading. If it’s large pistol then it’s .45 colt/.45 ACP. Small pistol, .38/9mm/.32 …

I’ve used the same press as you just got; for a decade of faithful service.

Carbide dies make your life easier …

Thanks for all the help. Ive been saving most of my brass for years like, 5.56, 38 357 9mm and 380 for this. So it just made sense to go back in and get those small rifle primers too. Plus some powder.
I've got lots of reading to do. That book is deep.

Today was a good day. I'm all set for 45LC. Some bullets broke out of the box. They look ok.
Ordered small pistol primers so I can do 38's and 9mm, maybe .380 with this powder.
Was looking at doing 5.56 but got confused about using .224 boolits and can't really find anything that says exclusively 223/5.56 .
Got some powder for it coming though.

Commercial cartridge names/numbers may not always reflect actual bullet or bore diameters. 5.56 and .223 Rem. will use the same diameter bullets, which is .224.
Although this article is about the .22 Hornet, it gives a bit of history on how bullet diameters can change over the years.

The .45 Colt was all over the map in the early years.

I ordered a case of optimism from Amazon, but porch pirates beat me to it. Still, chin-up.

I did read that .223 and 5.56 take the same .224 bullet. Then I read different.

I do have a crap ton of 5.56 but I want to have the supplies to reload all that brass. The 5.56 ammo is pretty cheap right now so I'm not sure now is the right time.
Same goes with .38 and 9mm. I'd rather have it than not.
I'd like to think prices will continue to drop.

It really is made closer to you than me, even.
Well dang, Huachuca City, AZ I could be there in an hour, maybe less depending on head wind. They do barter too. Wonder if they have an assayer close by. lol
There's a little gun shop there I check into when I'm down there, and one in Benson too.

Good ammo prices. I wish they sold just bullets or Id be all over it. I'll keep them in mind.

Apache Powder Company used to be in Herford next to the San Pedro river, it turned into a super fund site and changed names. Now they are Apache Nitrogen Company making explosives like they always have.
