As a long time People's Republik of Kalifornia resident, we know ole' Gavin hates the 2A, and that has talked out of both sides of his mouth quite regularly here in CA, however...

...that was a great interview, and he's likely the only Dem with enough mojo to go at the Nazis as they need going after, because as he said so many stoopid Americans typically just vote for the loudest candidate (which he has the ability to be as he is an excellent speaker!).

He may be full of bullshit but I don't see anyone else in the dem party or even other thurd party's that speak that well, Bill Clintonish. He he
And hey, he is the only one speaking out LOUD about fighting back against the republicans instead of being all Mr. nice guy.
Fuck being Mr. Nice guy and lets all hold hands and sing Kumbaya. We'll be getting pummeled by the hard right.
All the races are close and they shouldn't be close when your running against F'ing traitors and bigots.

Agree and if the party doesn’t get it it the easy way perhaps getting a fascist for a president again will. I want more voices at the table and newscum is not smart enough to know how to get a coalition. Hint asshole, don’t f’n piss off people you should be aligned with. Don’t f’n run on a platform that denies rights to all but the privileged. I’m demanding better.

You guys said it better than I could. Newsom is just another fast talking salesman, Trump is another very good example. Smarmy and slimy politicians are all alike, no matter what their political party.

If President Biden gives his 'blessing', expect Newsom vs deSatan..which do you think is more full of bullshit?

What he said..and for the 'he's FOS' crowd, name 2 or 3 that can go toe to toe with deSatan?..If you are that pissed off with Newsom, you might as well reserve a place on the DC mall for deSatan's inauguration now.

I’ve already mentioned the alternatives and options and in this thread too. Got to learn to read and understand context. I don’t believe in the two party systems, that should be clear and we have multiple choices to choose from every election. Some people just don’t seem to grasp that change doesn’t happen if you limit yourself to the alternatives the two parties want to present. The reason some people here don’t want to embrace a new path or change is simple, you like the two party dominated stranglehold and the policies they push and represent. I don’t.

Nothing? Ok I'll start. Here is the Green Party's Platform on gun control as of 2019 which is the newest I could find on their website. And they are the largest third party out there that could even come close to winning anything. They do win some local.
Think they could win against TOT or DeSatan?

Your turn.

https://www.gp.org/on_gun_violence
The Green Party calls for a ban on sales of assault weapons. The Green Party platform calls for “Thoughtful, carefully considered gun control such as is contained in the Brady Bill (1993).” It further calls for eliminating the gun show loophole that permits sale of weapons without background checks. Additionally, the party’s platform seeks an extension of background checks to all private sales of firearms.

Totally true. The top one percent owns one third of US assets esp in the media. Overturn Citizens United. Get dark money out. The best would be government support for campaigns and no donations over like a hundred or something. Fat chance.

There exists a certain segment of the population that tends to really respond to rhetoric and all of the “culture war” stuff. Most of us just see right through it as bombastic posturing and bullshit, but a disturbingly high number of people actually take political bullshit straight to heart and internalize it.

In the current culture war we really only have one side fighting, and the other side is trying to pretend they’re not in a culture war. So the left needs a good, loud voice to articulate their rhetoric. I don’t like political rhetoric, I prefer facts and truth, but the sad reality is there is a sizeable segment of the population who are completely emotional, irrational, impulsive, and non chalant about politics… For those we need someone who articulates bullshit (and non bullshit) well in front of a camera.

I’m about as far from a single issue voter as there is, so I just don’t care about his 2A stance, I’m worried about the Republic as long as the MAGA mindset prevails, I will vote against them. So that means, despite the fact I don’t much care for the Democratic part either, I WILL be voting for Democrats because that’s the best defense against these assholes. I look forward to the day I can go back to voting 3rd party (I like protest votes), and be able to do so knowing I’m not short-changing our republic.

Totally get it, frontsight. I've found there are limits to same side corruption I'm willing to check a box for. Tired af throwing up in my mouth when I vote.

And I'm pretty sure someone like Newsom will do the opposite of calming the MAGA hoard. He needs an enemy against which to preach. And MAGA needs a "socialist" against which to rally cry. I've got no answers beyond support local candidates that seem to give a shit about the people, not the position.

Agree. The local level has been my main emphasis for a few years now. National is pretty much toast.
