2Britain has had firearms control legislation since 1920, because of two world wars and the Irish war of independence they were awash in guns. With each new gun tragedy things have gotten tighter and now cheap guns from Eastern Europe are crossing the Channel. Rifles and shotguns are still available, it's handguns that have the tightest controls.
