Like Wings post I had a 100 rounds of old old CCI mini mags been laying around and since I bought that MKII Target 5" w/bull barrel from INVICTVS, I had a couple hours to burn this morning, I ran out the the Pima Southeast Regional Park Shooting Range.
It was half empty at 10 am on a Friday. Love it. The range officers there are so cool and helpful.
Anyhow, either I had to much coffee or the target was moving.
I do have a slight tremor so watch the F'k out downrange lol
The MKII ran the old ammo without a hitch. Gotta work on one of the three mags I got with it cus it wont feed right. The trigger on this thing is awesome, felt like 2lbs.
Seven bucks for all day and targets are 25 cents.
Pics on headed out the door.

3Hehe. Bad paper.
Pay no attention to the guys target to the right of mine. The guy is shooting a .22 cal wheel gun. Bloody show-off.

4Fun, fun, fun, you guys have some nice outdoor public ranges in AZ. I'm not much for the summer AZ heat, but the rest of the year is great

5At around 10am it was only around 80F Pretty pleasant under the shaded benches.
The photo makes the place look small but theres at least 24 bench spots maybe more as I haven't really counted.
Plus across the street there is archery and Skeet.
I'm getting used to the public range and like it the more I go instead of out in the boonies.

6Looks nice. Interesting berm. Looks like some concrete work too. What’s on the other side of the concrete wall, another shooting lane?

There's also another area to shoot on the other side of that concrete wall in the pic with a similar sized berm that's connected.
They are going to expand it further as it tends to get crowded.

I like design idea.
Re: MKII DAY
9Good reason to go to the public range right now is the threat of wildfires. The forest service is not letting people shoot, not sure about state land. Some fires out in the boonies have been started by sparks from Boolets or people driving over dry grasses.

Re: MKII DAY
10I forgot to tell you it likes CCI mini mags. If found only good ammo cycles 100% reliably. Bulk, junk .22 won’t cycle reliably. That happens to be the case for my 10/22 as well …
Did the plastic mag work? It’s cheesy but it was the most reliable of the 3…
Put that thing in a rest and you’ll see what it can really do.

Re: MKII DAY
11Well I'm glad all I took was mini mags.
The cheesy mag worked great as did the mag with the red Phoenix. It was the silver bottomed one that wouldn't hold the boolet correctly to feed.
The really hot range officer chick came over to try and help me with it.
It's seems I need lots of supervision.
Next time I'm taking rifles. I suck at pistols further than 10 ft.

Re: MKII DAY
12Sounds like what you need is more supervision.
I mean, you already have a Mk II and the right ammo.
