CCI Clean-22

Found a jar full of the 1235 fps variety at my local Dunhams. Think LRN Mini-Mags with a polymer coating.

Shot through a 6 7/8" Ruger MkIV Hunter. Great combination. Burned through 100 rounds with no FTFs, FTEs, or malfunctions of any kind. Alternated mags with some Norma Tac-22 - see previous thread. It's very greasy, and needs to be alternated to avoid lube buildup. Otherwise they shared comparable accuracy and reliability. I have had better accuracy with Velocitors but they're hard to come by lately. I've also had comparable results from big-box Browning 38 grainers.

I was not done shooting .22LR when I emptied the box - I'd only brought 100 - so I switched over to the box of Winchester Super-X 1280 fps 40 grain HPs that I've been keeping in the range bag for backup. Literally the first thing I noticed was the cloud of smoke hanging in front of me. Much, much dirtier. Also less accurate. Only one FTF.
