The NRA Convention Begins Today. You Can’t Bring Your Gun.

1
That’s correct. The NRA said you can’t bring your gun into the Convention Center. No guns allowed. They say it is because of the Secret Service request, but the George R. Brown Convention Center itself doesn’t allow weapons of any kind on site ― a blanket restriction that includes pepper spray and mace. Some of the NRA recommended hotels forbid guns and others only allow them in the guest rooms, but secured and out of sight of cleaning employees, not in bars, restaurants, meeting rooms, lobby, or secured in hotel vault. This was already known before the Uvalde shooting.

The NRA Snowflakes are just going to be in withdrawal without their guns.

Be assured the right wing can be still bring there other major weapon, their mouths.

Not so big at all...to bad, TOT is afraid of getting shot..another missed opportunity to rid the world of this traitorous scum...

Can't wait to hear the 'thoughts and prayers', 'radical left wants to take your guns' and 'sorry, nothing to be done..look at Chicago!"

Now Sen. Cancun Crud and Gov. Larry Stooge will not be attending in person due to the Uvalde School shooting, but they will be having a live video feed of their speeches to the convention.

Yup, it's an election year and the Republican and Democratic whores are out trying to impress voters. Abbott's got a problem though since the Uvalde timeline has been revised.
It has also called into question claims by state Governor Greg Abbott, who earlier this week hailed the "quick response" of "valiant local officials" who he said had engaged the gunman before he entered the school. "They showed amazing courage by running toward gunfire," he said.

It wasn't a quick response and it took a special federal team to breach the classroom and kill the shooter.

The Big Whore Trump will be speaking at the NRA Convention.

And, abbot then had a press conference about how 'livid' he was with the bad info he was given. NOT livid about 19 kids being killed, but livid his BS statement above made him look like an ignorant putz, which he is.

The media like the story that the NRA banned firearms rather than searching for the facts. From the USA Today Fact Check,
The Secret Service – not the NRA – is requiring visitors to relinquish their arms in order to secure the building, according to /information online about the event and a spokesman for the NRA.

"Restrictions are in place exclusively at the NRA-ILA Leadership Forum at the direction of the United States Secret Service," spokesman Lars Dalseide wrote in an email to USA TODAY. He called the claim that the NRA is banning guns at its conference "incorrect."

This mandate isn't recent or related to the Texas school shooting, contrary to what some posts suggest. Archives of the event's webpage show this information has been posted since May 14, two days after the NRA announced Trump would be speaking at the event.

The announcement linked to an online flyer that listed other banned items, including backpacks, drones, toy guns, knives, selfie sticks and umbrellas.

The exact same notice was posted by the NRA in 2018 to inform visitors of the Secret Service's no-firearms mandate for speeches by Trump and then-Vice President Mike Pence. The event's gun prohibition was similarly scrutinized by news outlets and social media critics at the time, leading then-NRA spokesperson Dana Loesche to send a fiery response to one Associated Press report on Twitter.

"NRA banned nothing," she wrote. "The media does this every year. It’s Secret Service SOP (standard operating procedure) and they supersede all state and local control (sic). Don’t complain about your eroding credibility and people calling you 'fake news' when you publish things like this."

Occupy Democrats told USA TODAY the source for its post was a Business Insider article, though the article attributes the ban to Secret Service guidelines.
Based on our research, we rate PARTLY FALSE the claim that the NRA is banning guns at its annual conference. The NRA authorizes visitors to the conference to carry firearms in accordance with local, state and federal law and did not order any bans or limitations of its policy. Rather, the Secret Service mandates that attendees at the Leadership Forum, where Trump will speak, not carry firearms or other dangerous items.

The Secret Service may have said no guns, but that would have been the case anyway, as the City of Houston has an ordnance banning the carrying of guns in the George Brown Convention Center.

Then at the NRA convention we have TOT bloviating as usual.
Donald Trump suggested he allowed civil unrest in American cities during the 2020 presidential election while addressing the National Rifle Association in Texas only days after the school shooting massacre in Uvalde.
He stated he wouldn't stop unrest in Washington because it made the Dems look bad, but if reelected he would have a massive crackdown on crime.

is that also a crackdown on his criminal tax evasion?

There's nothing a sitting president could do about it short of declaring martial law. Not the above either...up to the states, not this fat orange asshole.

Did the secret service ban fruit too??
Sorry, sharks, but you’re no longer Donald Trump’s weirdest phobia. In a deposition for an upcoming New York trial over allegations that he sicced his security team on protesters outside Trump Tower in 2015, Trump revealed that he is afraid of demonstrators throwing fruit at him. “It’s very dangerous stuff,” Trump said in reference to the foodstuffs, according to Insider. “You can get killed with those things.”
