Do you handload? If so check out the Lehigh Controlled Chaos copper projectiles. I put them in Starline brass and they run real nice in my WASR, so in a gun that was made with all the parts on straight I'll bet it's even better!
Stay away from the PPU softpoint... they fly like overinflated footballs.

Somewhat elderly thread but having looked into this of late, the only one's in stock are:

Tula 124gr JHP - poor erratic expansion
Tula 124 gr JSP - good consistent expansion
Tula 154 gr JSP - excellent, consistent expansion

All the Tula is available all over, price is about the same as Tula FMJ. All are steel cased, berdan primed.

Winchester Super X "Power Point" 123gr JSP - typical American hunting round. Very good & consistent expansion. Brass cased, boxer primed.
May be available elsewhere but I've seen it at SG Ammo (.com) for $39.95/20 rnds.

Other brands "out there" but I haven't been able to find:
Brown Bear JSP
Golden Bear JSP
PrvPartisan (PPU) JSRN, PSP
Federal Fusion
Remington CoreLokt

I am budgeting in some of the Tula 154gr JSP for testing. There is good video on Youtube showing it's expansion.
