Agreed. Read somewhere that Neanderthals used similar techniques to fix stone points on spears using pitch. They still don't know for sure whether they ever threw them. Didn't know how far back bows went, but Africa pre-diaspora makes sense. Guess that makes shooting stuff uniquely human.

Just discovered a Columbus area bowyer while listening to this and the Bear interview. Longbows and horsebows. Someone remind me again how coveting is bad.
