I'm not too hip on shooting a person over a property crime, however, carjackers are getting more brazen and violent here

2And shooting at them as they drove off probably isn't legal, the threat is over. But I do understand the frustration, residents must feel like government has failed them.
In a related story I noticed a list of some of the violence on Friday night (last night), just the start of the weekend.

3This happened just around the corner from me; don't know how this is going to play out, but I don't think there was an imminent threat once they drove off.

4Hmmm, two armed teens using deadly force in commission of multiple violent felonies (or the threat of...), got what they deserved IMO ("live by the gun, die by the gun")!
Agreed it will be an interesting case from a legal standpoint. In Chi-Town Illinois it might be a legal problem for the victim (of the armed carjacking!), though in a red state they'd likely give him a medal assuming he was safe with his fire and all rounds are accounted for, and no innocents were in danger etc?
We'll see...
