Thanks CD. I might try that on the next one. Need to order a can of brown. It's got a couple coats of clear matte on it. Going to let the epoxy paint cure for awhile.
I used yucca leaves stapled together. I may try stenciling but this worked ok with a base of green.

Dude, it's nothing more than a colored stock you can buy these days. Just with spots. Actually I think I saw a camo one on the ruger website.
I got this old one and two scopes practically free and the wood stock was all chinger'd up. No bluing hardly. I was going to sell it for parts.
So now I have two 10/22s.
I wanted to upgrade the stainless anyways. So the parts off it were well used for the old POS.
My old 25-06 is in rough shape too. It's been dropped a few times.
