Happened over the weekend or so. But makes you wonder if this has anything to do with Biden wanting to release 9/11 records that might implicate the house of Saud.

They say it's about bigger fish like China and what's going on in the south china sea but I doubt that.

Turkish Radio and Television Corporation is the national public broadcaster of Turkey.
Turkey and Saudi Arabia have strained relations, I wouldn't consider TRT World an objective source.

AP News has a more in depth article which looks like TRT copied.

Even Politico and others seem the same, it's about the intent of the action not where it came from.

The missiles were withdrawn but probably no mystery why, Biden wants to stop the Yemen war. MBS has escalated it and removing our missiles was likely a message saying we no longer support your conflict. It's another Sunni vs Shiite conflict using proxies instead of Saudi Arabia and Iran fighting directly and bombing each others oil fields.

This is a March article.

Of course that but there's always the underlying issue like the house of Saud involved with 9/11 which will come out stinky poo. So we stop supporting them to make us look better, least a little bit.

Nothing so far in the release of 9/11 documents. We've known that wealthy Saudi's funded Al Queda, Bin Laden himself was Saudi and most of the hijackers were Saudis. I'm waiting for more materials to be released.

It is foolish to fight in a burning house.

No doubt and maybe some member of the House of Saud funded and supported OBL but I doubt MBS or anybody like him in positions of authority were directly involved with 9/11..it would kill the 'goose(USA)' that supplied 'golden eggs' to SA.

Remember that Bin Laden father at the time of 9/11 was the biggest concrete construction contractor in Saudi Arabia. you don't get that way unless you have strong ties to the House of Saud. The brother of OBL was meeting with George HW Bush at the time of 9/11.
But the more we learn about the ties between the Bush family and the bin Ladens, questions like this one pop up: Did Bush really want to capture him?

With fewer than 50 ground troops surrounding the massive Tora Bora region in the mountains of Afghanistan where bin Laden was hiding, ground commanders pleaded for 800 more soldiers, according to Gary Berntsen, the CIA field commander whose book “Jawbreaker” goes into amazing detail about the botched paramilitary operation. Berntsen and other ground commanders said the U.S. let Osama bin Laden get away.

Was this because of President George Bush’s close ties to the bin Laden family?

In 1978, Bush and Osama bin Laden’s brother, Salem bin Laden, founded Arbusto Energy, an oil company based in Texas.

Several bin Laden family members invested millions in The Carlyle Group, a private global equity firm based in Washington, DC. The company’s senior advisor was Bush’s father, former President George H.W. Bush. After news of the bin Laden-Bush connection became public, the elder Bush stepped down from Carlyle.

Interestingly, on Sept. 11, 2001, members of the Carlyle Group – including Bush senior, and his former secretary of state, James Baker – were meeting at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Washington, D.C., along with Shafiq bin Laden, another one of Osama bin Laden’s brothers.

While all flights were halted following the terrorist attacks, there was one exception made: The White House authorized planes to pick up 140 Saudi nationals, including 24 members of the bin Laden family, living in various cities in the U.S. to bring them back to Saudi Arabia, where they would be safe. They were never interrogated.

Also the Saudi government i.e. the House of Saud has been financing the moslem fundamentalist missionaries around the middle east and elsewhere for decades. This included those in Afghanistan.
