Mo Brooks, this is a man who desperately wants armed revolution

Gotta say, the man is staying on message.

Republican Rep. Mo Brooks isn't sure what the truck bomber was about, but he's sure he supports it

“Generally speaking,” wrote Brooks, “I understand citizenry anger directed at dictatorial Socialism and its threat to liberty, freedom, and the very fabric of American society.”

“I think there’s a right-wing conspiracy to promote the idea of a left-wing conspiracy”

The ignorance that allows such divisive statements as Mo Brooks to stand is indicative of the problem that America faces. Ignorance is rampant in this country for how the rest of the world lives. And rather than discovering how much better off people in Europe and other parts of the world are at solving some of the problems we currently face, we celebrate our ignorance with flag-waving and xenophobia. Taking pride in ignorance is the refuge of idiots and tools
"It is better to be violent, if there is violence in our hearts, than to put on the cloak of non-violence to cover impotence. There is hope for a violent man to become non-violent. There is no such hope for the impotent." -Gandhi

Remind me of a statement a great uncle of mine said to my Dad. "My boys only need to learn enough to read the Bible and figure the profit on a bale of cotton . They don't need no more."

Unfortunately that still seems to hold true for many people today.
