Rudy Giuliani told FBI has was 'under no obligation to tell the truth' while campaigning for Trump

Former Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani admitted to the FBI that he lied during media appearances about members within the agency feeding him dirt on investigations into Hillary Clinton.

Transcripts of Giuliani's FBI interviews obtained by the Washington Post reveal that Giuliani told agents that he could be completely cavalier with the truth while he was making media appearances to support Trump's candidacy.

"There's no obligation to tell the truth," Giuliani told FBI agents of his decision to "throw a fake" and concoct information that the FBI was supposedly giving him about Clinton during the 2016 presidential campaign.

The FBI interview took place in 2018 when the agency was investigating whether any of its agents improperly leaked information to the former New York mayor who is now best known for his failed efforts to help former President Donald Trump overturn the results of the 2020 election.

"Giuliani's public credibility has suffered significantly since 2016," notes the Post. "He is under investigation by federal prosecutors in New York for his dealings with Ukrainian figures in the run-up to the 2020 election, and his license to practice law has been suspended in New York and D.C. over his unfounded claims of fraud in the 2020 presidential election."

Rudy Giuliani claims he made up 'gossip' about FBI probe of Clinton emails days before 2016 election:

Rudy Giuliani told Department of Justice investigators that he made up claims about Hillary Clinton's emails ahead of the 2016 election.

The former New York City mayor and federal prosecutor sat down for a voluntary interview with the Justice Department's inspector general, and he told investigators that he had lied to talk radio listeners shortly before the election when he claimed to have heard "rumors" about an investigation from "active" FBI agents, reported The Daily Beast.

"I think [Donald Trump has] got a surprise or two that you're going to hear about in the next few days," Giuliani said Oct. 26, 2016. I mean, I'm talking about some pretty big surprises."

Two days later, then-FBI director James Comey announced the reopening of an inquiry into allegations that Clinton had mishandled classified information, which Trump and his Republicans used to bash the Democratic nominee.

However, Giuliani told the inspector general's probe of the possible FBI leaks that he had only spoken to former agents who had not knowledge of any investigations, and that anything he heard about Comey's actions were merely gossip.

Giuliani claimed the "surprise" he referenced was a speech that Trump would give about Clinton and had nothing to do with Comey.

The inspector general's office released a report on the matter Thursday that found no evidence that active FBI agents were in contact with Giuliani before the election nearly five years ago.

Rudy may as well turn in his law license.

This is exactly the strategy they had all along: "I'm not under oath so I can say anything even if it's an outright lie. Oh, and if I lie under oath you have to catch me and prove it." (And for a while they were hoping the Mango Mussolini would pardon them, until they learned he'll throw anybody under the bus to cover his own flabby, diaper-wearing ass.)

A decent and respected journalist must put together a simple set of statements, showing how the whole orange campaign, 'but her emails', was built on a lie, a deliberate lie, which resulted in what we saw, which was all lies and grift. That journalist has to write that now supporters of the spirochete threaten to hunt down people who vote this or that way. And so on. That's not American.

"All lies a grift--still a party
sees what it wants to see
and disregards the rest, lie lie lie..."

It was an empty presidency, void of all that is decent and good about America. Its proponents and thugs must be tried in public with websites holding 8x10 color glossies with the circles and the arrows on them. That's how we heal this syphilis of politics that is infecting people.

Unless the insurrectionist of the 6th and all the senate and congress critters that condoned and encouraged them including the orange one are tried and punished there will be no curing this infection.

Speaking of lies and stupidity:

https://finance.yahoo.com/news/trump-mo ... 59809.html

Putting the unhinged use of all caps aside, Twitter users were quick to mock Mr Trump and remind him of his own failings as president — namely, 600,000 deaths from Covid-19 through a lack of leadership on his part
SNIP:
“600,000 dead Americans could not be reached for comment,” wrote one user.
“Shouldn’t you be in jail?” asked another.
A chorus of tweets saying “no”, “nope”, and “not even a little bit”, were posted in reply to Ms Harrington’s tweet.
"Being Republican is more than a difference of opinion - it's a character flaw." "COVID can fix STUPID!"
The greatest, most aggrieved mistake EVER made by USA was electing DJT as POTUS - TWICE!!!!!
