Bonhams most recent auction has some legendary, and legendarily infamous firearms. The gun that killed Billy the Kid, the gun that killed Sam Bass...And MANY more.
While an interesting piece of history, guns that are famous for killing someone famous are a bit creepy. Wouldn't want such guns in my collection, but I think they're interesting in a museum.
There was a guy (I'm sure he's still out there doing it) who was hitting large gun shows with the Colt Cobra that killed Lee Harvey Oswald, and he would sell fired cartridge casings from that revolver as souvenirs; again, creepy.
Made me think about something more contemporary. How long before the gun that killed Ashli Babbitt becomes a collectors item...again, creepy as hell. I hope it goes to the Smithsonian so it doesn't become even more creepy.

Infamous guns...Interesting, but also a little creepy
