That would be the wise choice, yes. But riding a motorcycle in the the Denver, CO area isn't too smart to begin w/ given the drivers that surround me.sikacz wrote: Thu Sep 09, 2021 7:40 pm Buy used. Older bikes can be fun and you won’t necessarily be paying top dollar.
I was very hesitant about driving in Houston. Avoiding high traffic streets has been my strategy.ZenArcade wrote: Thu Sep 09, 2021 7:45 pmThat would be the wise choice, yes. Looks like a really nice dual-purpose! Like the super-light weight, fuel injection. If you're not too big a person it should give you plenty of oomf! Just make sure you're comfortable on the seat and in the seating position. A test ride would also be really good--if anyone still gives them!ZenArcade wrote: Fri Sep 10, 2021 9:37 pm I'm probably still going to get the Monkey ^ (if one becomes available at the dealer) as it reminds me of the moto I always wanted as a kid ... but this crf300l rally looks pretty great and priced well.

Go for it!eelj wrote: Wed Dec 22, 2021 6:58 pm I still have my guzzi but I sold the Norton 3 years ago. I got sick of taking delivery of spares from Mitch Klempf or British only. I do miss the riding experience. An RE Interceptor would be fun. But then again the Himalayan gets 70 mpg on cheap crappy gas and I could explore every dirt road in the state.
not fond of the plastic either. another part to remove and replace.
The plastic bits on my Thruxton were the major reason I started to replace bits with aluminum. I like aluminum more than plastic. LoL. Good thing aftermarket bits exist.
